Our one-of-a-kind rent equity program: Long-term renters can apply rental payments toward the purchase of the rental instrument they are renting or towards the purchase of anything from our diverse collection of retail instruments. Rental credit remains valid for 1 year after the rental instrument is returned. Other benefits and restrictions apply, contact us for details.

SIZING
The best way to size is to talk to the student's teacher. If there's no teacher involved yet, come and visit us at the shop and we will measure the student and give you some teacher info. If that’s not possible, then use the following as a guide.

If you’re not sure which size to use after following our directions, go with the smaller size—we can always get you a bigger one, if you need it. There is no charge to “size up.”

Violin:
Have have student reach her or his arm out in front of them. Measure the length of the arm from the top of the shoulder to collarbone to the base of the the thumb and use the following chart to define the size:

Arm Length (at least), F+G size recommendation:
17": 1/8 size Violin
19": 1/4 size Violin
21': 1/2 size Violin
24.5": 3/4 size Violin
24": 4/4 size Violin

Viola:
Have have student reach her or his arm out in front of them. Violas are sized by the instrument’s body length - a 12” viola’ body is 12” from top to bottom. Measure the length of the arm from the top of the shoulder to collarbone to the base of the the thumb and use the following chart to define the size:

Arm Length (at least), F+G size recommendation:
19": 11' Viola 
20-22": 12" Viola
22 - 23.5": 13" Viola
22.5 - 24": 14" Viola

Cello:

Measuring the student’s height is the best way to determine the right sized cello to use. Use this chart:

Height, F+G size recommendation:

4’ - 4’.5" age 7-11 1/2 size Cello
4.5"- 5’ age 8-13 3/4 size Cello
5’ + above 12 - up 4/4 size Cello


Reserve Online:
The system will walk you through the necessary steps and will provide you with the opportunity to request a delivery, etc.

Damage Waiver
10% of your periodic fee. Covers 80% of instrument value. Without it, you are responsible for the costs of repair or replacement. Wavier does not cover strings. Restrictions apply.
